A founder of the movement, Husserl pioneered several concepts such as "[the] transcendental-phenomenological method, the phenomenological structure of time-consciousness, the fundamental role of the notion of intersubjectivity in our conceptual system, the horizon-structure of our singular empirical thought, among others" (SEP, "Edmund Husserl"). The importance of his contributions to the Continental school of philosophy cannot be overstated. Originally published in 1913 in German, this translation made Husserl's work on phenomenology accessible to English readers. The bottom corner of the jacket's front flap is clipped, the jacket's front panel has a large chip.
