Item description from seller

Offered is Vol. 1 No. 1 - Part 6 of 7 Parts (1970) of "Identity" edited by Herbert Montgomery and published by Thomas C. Wright and Mine Publications out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A left-folded illustrated newsletter measuring 8-1/2" by 10-3/4" and containing eight pages including front and rear covers. Published for the teenage Christian student, this issue's topic is "FOUR DIRTIEST WORDS" (Topic 6). The inside page is headlined "THE DIRTIEST FOUR WORDS" with the first three being WAR; POVERTY; and HATE; the fourth word is left blank; the Christian teen is told "Pick another word and tell why you feel it is offensive." With two full-page WAR BALLOTS (the first ballot is for the Christian teen to vote "FOR"; the second ballot is for the Christian teen to vote "AGAINST" - signatures gathered on both ballots [the signature lines are blank in this issue] are to be mailed to U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright in Washington, D.C. or "To a Senator of your choice"). There is an accompanying letter from Editor Herbert Montgomery who writes, in part, "if the [Vietnam] war is not over [by the time the teen reads this letter], it is all the more important that each of us take the time to make our feelings known to someone who has a direct influence on the actions of our country. Many of you have asked, "What can I do to make my voice heard?" The War Ballot on pages 7-8 is a project which you can take part in.".
