A game comprising a board (22.2 x 20cm), nine cards (4.8 x 4.8cm) and an instruction sheet, held in a plastic bag with a printed banner (which would originally have stapled it closed at the head edge). 'The word (image) combination (poem) ends when any particular phrase has been read five times.' The coordinates in the publisher's name are given as the last known location of the plane as it sights the Mountains of Madness before disappearing in H.P. Lovecraft's novella of that name. Gemma Three was a continuation of the work of Brian Lane's Probable Latitude; in late 1970 when Probable Latitude ceased publishing, Maurene Sandoe took over the existing titles and added to them under the name of Gemma Three. Therefore the distribution address might be a slightly later addition. Cards Fine, the board somewhat handled and the instructions less so, the bag and banner inevitably ragged at their openings, the former with the light impression of a handwritten note, but sound and uncommon.
