Images of God: Finding the Lord in Ordinary Objects and Everyday Events.

In the simple, familiar moments and situations of life, the author looks for and finds the Lord. A finely crafted table, the erratic descent of a feather, the enveloping advance of a morning mist, a stay in the hospital - in such are the Images of God. Writing for the ordinary Christian, the author provides sensitive and powerful insights particularly appropriate for Lenten reading - and throughout the year. Through the use of clear and concise narrative, he presents an image, prefaced by a verse from scripture and followed by a prayer which helps readers reflect on their relationship with God. The images keep pace with Christ throughout his Lenten journey, identifying with him and praying with him - watching in the Garden of Gethsemane and standing at the foot of the cross. First Edition.
