Terms of sale
Halftone specializes in art and photography books, with a secondary focus on antiquarian titles and select novels. Every item is personally inspected before listing, and its condition is graded honestly according to standard antiquarian bookselling terminology — any flaws, from foxing to a worn spine, are noted rather than glossed over.
Prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout. Ownership of an item remains with Halftone until payment has been received in full. We aim to process every order within 96 hours of purchase and to respond to all buyer inquiries within 48 hours. Our stock is entirely physical inventory, hand-sourced through curated secondhand channels — we do not drop-ship.
We take pride in accurate listings and prompt, professional communication, and we're happy to answer questions about a title's condition or edition before you buy.
Shipping terms
All items ship from the Netherlands via PostNL, with tracking provided on every order. Standard shipping rates are calculated based on a book weighing up to 1 kg (2.2 lb); heavier or oversized items (common with larger art and photography titles) may require an adjusted rate — we will contact you before shipping if this applies.
Every book is packaged according to its size, weight, and condition, using rigid mailers or boxing for larger and more fragile items to prevent damage in transit. For shipments to non-EU destinations valued at €150 or less, we ship on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis in line with AbeBooks' policy, so you won't face unexpected customs charges on delivery.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 96 hours of purchase.
