Improving Your Reading, A Class Text in Remedial Reading was written by Helen S. S. Wilkinson and Bertha D. Brown. It was published by Noble and Noble, Publishers, Inc. in 1938 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. The book is in good + condition is with no dust jacket. It is 5 5/8" by 7 3/4" and has 361 yellowing pages with a Table of Contents in the front of the book and a Bibliography and an Index at the back. There are a few black-and-white illustrations scattered throughout. Within you'll find older, but probably just as viable, ideas on teaching reading . . . particularly to those in a remedial reading class. It appears to have been intended as a text for teachers, but could well be used by anyone desiring to be a better reader. Thank you.
