Item description from seller

First edition. Illustrated by Ray Ordas. Printed wrappers. Top corner slightly bent, a few tiny spots on rear wrap, near fine. A semi-autographical story first published in the *Partisan Review* and later included in the author's book on India. Laid in is a holograph note from the author; in part it reads: "Also enclosing something for the store in case you don't have it. It's from my book *Indian Action*, published last year by Little, Brown. One of these days I'll bring in *The Town and The City*. See you then Stuart Mitchner".
