Illustrated throughout with photographic plates, this is the scarce first edition of a first-hand account of game hunting in the Indian jungle. The first edition of this scarce work. Illustrated with a frontispiece and eleven photographic plates and further vignette illustrations. Collated, complete. A. G. Shuttleworth, under the pseudonym Silver Hackle, writes about game hunting and wild animal life in India in the 1920s. Including much discussion of the tiger, panther, hunting leopard, and various type of deer. With a publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, otherwise bright. Front hinge strained and somewhat tender. Internally, binding lightly strained. Frontispiece detached and loosely inserted, as is one further plate. Pages bright, with instances of spotting to pages facing plates. Good.
