Our suggested date comes from another copy, no sold, which had an inscription dated 1977 as well as a laid in author's letter referring to this as ". my first book completed last spring" which could mean 1976 or 1977. Poetry. OCLC locates two copies (Univ. of Montana and UNC Greensboro). Doss, an African American born in Racine, Wisconsin, founded the Black Studies Program at the University of Montana in 1968 and retired from the program in 1993. We do not know what he did after 1993 although he appears to have remained in Montana. Seller Inventory # 91851
