Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. First Edition. 223 pp., frontis, illustrations, photographs. A fine copy with only a small spot exposed on the bottom of the front board. From Six Guns B#101: "The teller of this tale, Bill Walker, claims to have talked with Billy the Kid in Colorado, but much of his information, like that of most old-timers, is incorrect. He repeats the old legend about the Kid's killing a man who insulted his mother and claims that the Kid later became a bank and stage robber. .He severely condemns Pat Garrett for hiding in the dark "and behind a curtain" to shoot the Kid. He says the Garrett "was small-tim and small-town before he shot Bill the Kid." He further states that grass, flowers and trees will not grow over the Kid's grave; yet on the next page is a photograph of the Kid's grave covered with grass and a bush in bloom." Clearly this is not specifically accurate on the history of Billy the Kid; but it is still quite interesting and fun to read. It is a book that raise many question and makes the hunt for truth a great pastime!. Seller Inventory # MC00309
