About this Item
A scarce UK first edition of Inspector Higgins Sees It Through by Cecil Freeman Gregg. A scarce copy of the First UK edition. Cecil Freeman Gregg, b.1898, was a chartered secretary and accountant alongside being an author. Little else is known about him, except he was born in London. He had two main series characters, Inspector Cuthbert Higgins and Harry Prince. Harry Prince He was a somber anti-hero, a thief without apology who was driven to a life of crime due to the death of his wife Ethel. Cuthbert Higgins is a heavily-built Scotland Yard detective with a flair for breaking the rules. Despite his handiness in a fight, Higgins is a deep thinker and excels at unravelling complicated mysteries. In a full cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is mild wear to the extremities, including mild bumping and light sunning to the spine. Front hinge is strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the occasional spot. There is an institutional ink stamp on page 1. Very Good. Seller Inventory # GEN1-C-1
