About this Item
Illustrated. 32 pages. Vol. IV. No 4. This entire issue is on golf, with the first 28 pages containing the History of the Brattleboro Country Club. Tom McNamara designed the first nine-hole layout there in 1913 although the club had played over a six-hole track since 1899. The remainder of the booklet is a listing of all the golf courses in Vemont, claiming most to be of a "sporty" nature. Due partly to the terrain but also because early golfers expected frequent "rubs of the green", the turn of the century golfers in Vermont had adventures, often playing over raw ground. Slight rubbing to the lower cover edge else clean throughout. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 204307
