Light wear to book, bump head of spine, tear base of DJ spine; DJ in Mylar, bright, solid book; B&W Illustrations; 1.3 x 8.6 x 6.3 Inches; 456 pages; Nuclear structure physics is undergoing a major revival, full of activities and excitement. On the experimental side, this is being made possible by advances in detector technology and accelerator capabilities that give access to data and nuclei (especially exotic nuclei far from stability) never before accessible. On the theoretical side, new concepts, ideas and computational techniques are advancing our understanding of effective interactions, nucleonic correlations, and symmetries of structure. This volume covers a broad range of topics on nuclear structure, including: collective excitations; proton-neutron excitation modes; phase transitions; signatures of structure; isospin; structure at both high- and low-angular momenta; recent developments in nuclear theory; the vast new realm of exotic nuclei far from the valley of stability; and the latest technological advances of detectors and facilities which will lead this branch of physics into the future.…

Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. International shipments that qualify for Global Priority shipping will be sent that way so long as the book fits (well packaged) in the flat rate envelope. Please note that USPS no longer offers international Surface Mail but because we are located in Canada we can offer this option.
Please note that the International shipping rate is for books 2 lbs or more fully packaged. If your book weighs less I will mail 1st Class (air mail) and reduce the S&H to the current 1st Class rate.
To our US customers, Please note shipments to the US usually arrive in 7-10 days, not a guarantee but an observation. Please note that due to Canadian travel restrictions, we are no longer able to cross the border to drop our parcels off at the US Post Office. We are temporarily raising our shipping rates to the US. When the travel restrictions are lifted, the cost will return to normal.
