Provenance: Signature in ink of notable Guy Montrose Whipple, an educational psychologist who was one of the four founding editors of the Journal of Educational Psychology. He developed tests of human intelligence and personality and conducted research on gifted education, literacy, vocational education, and the psychology of eyewitness testimony. Beneath Whipples signature is this notation in his handwriting in ink: April, 1913 Review J.E.P. We think that Whipple is referring to a review of this book in the Journal of Educational Psychology, but we have been unable to find it. In Printing and the Mind of Man 389 is written: This is unquestionably Freuds greatest work. It contains all the basic components of psychoanalytic theory and practice.
