Item description from seller

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Ballantine, 1977. First edition, first printing in very good minus condition; cover shows substantial shelf and edgewear; binding solid, text block clean and unmarked, age-appropriate toning, a solid early paperback copy of this gothic classic Interview with the Vampire, originally published in 1976 by Alfred A. Knopf, introduced readers to Anne Rice's lush introspective Vampire Chronicles and her iconic protagonist, Louis de Pointe du Lac. The book became a cult classic, launched Rice's career and revitalized modern gothic fiction. Early Ballantine printings remain desirable for their vintage cover art and cultural significance.

Store description

My late wife and I spent a lot of time accumulating books, especially during COVID. With her gone, the books are a reminder of her. Hence, it's time for me to Turn the Page. Update: Please note I have recently moved to New Mexico (September 2026) where our chihuahua, Pedro, will no longer have to slog through snow and ice - the state where my beloved wife and his mommy lived before we met. Thank you for all your orders since opening this storefront!
