xvi, 400 pages, 18 engraved folding plates, page size 20 x 12 cm, first edition, London 1773. This is a good copy of a well-known work by a London watchmaker, in full leather binding, re-backed using original boards and later gilt tooled spine. Most of the book is lessons in arithmetic and geometry but there are chapters on pendulums and the drawing of watch calibres, plus an appendix of practical tips for those working at the bench.
