Hardback, full-calf, spine relaid, new end-papers. 21cm x 13.5cm. xi, 396pp. 1st edition 1759. A copy of Flemyng's Pysiology was taken on board Captain Cook's voyage on the H.M.S. Endeavour by the surgeon William Perry, which served him well in dealing with the multitude of illnesses and injuries that affected the crew. Binding is slightly worn. Some darkening to edges of front blank. An interesting read. (hall10).
