Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well with minor wear. Profusely illustrated with a variety of black-and-white illustrations, including a foldout of the storming of the Bastille, and more than in subsequent volumes. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Some illustrations protrude slightly further than text pages on side and have minor edge fraying and wear. The first volume and scarce bound collection of Revolutions de Paris, a newspaper published by French journalist and historian Louis-Marie Prudhomme (1752-1830). Focusing on the events of the French Revolution, it ran from 1789 to 1794, ceasing shortly after Prudhomme moved out of Paris, after having been occasionally imprisoned for alleged royalist sentiments.
