First English Edition (first printing). 8vo. 395pp + [iv] publisher's advertisements. With a frontispiece reproduction of Moritz von Schwind's 'The Prisoner's Dream'. Blue cloth lettered in gold at the spine. Top edge dust soiled. The backstrip cloth faded, and a little rubbed and frayed at the spine ends. A touch of very light wear to the cloth at the corner tips. Free endpapers browned, and the tip of the front free endpaper clipped, presumably to excise a former owner name. A touch of light mostly marginal spotting to a dozen preliminary leaves. A good copy, really quite crisp internally. No dust wrapper.
