First edition (first printing) of the author's first book, published whilst he was serving on the Western Front and preceded only by his appearance in the 1915 Oxford poetry anthology. Small 8vo. 41pp. Lettered card wrappers with French flaps (issued simultaneously both hardcover and paperback formats). A touch of light toning and wear to the wrappers. A very good copy. Contemporary former owner gift inscription inked to a blank preliminary. Seventeen poems. See Reilly p.236. [A light item, UK postage will be reduced].
