About this Item
Canadian Arthur Stringer (1874-1950) spent most of his career in America; he was prolific, sentimental, and popular; he also wrote filmscripts. He may have been considered a "hack" writer, but he was also distinguished as the first Canadian poet to employ free verse (in a later volume, in 1914). This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Uncommon. Green cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; 110 pages. Tiny bookseller label on rear paste-down. Faint bumping and a tiny bit of spotting to the fore-edge; else a Fine copy. Lacking a dustjacket. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 004195
