The volume is especially notable for its collaboration with Jack B. Yeats, whose illustrations were painted specifically for this book and issued as tipped-in color plates rather than printed reproductions. Tan linen-covered boards with gilt lettering to the spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. Printed on thick paper. Illustrated with a tipped-in color frontispiece and eleven additional tipped-in color plates, each with a thin paper guard. It is in Good condition. Shelf wear and fading to the spine, with bumped and rounded corners and a noticeable lean to it. The interior pages are generally clean, with occasional light foxing.
