This was Stephen Jay Gould's office copy, with his call number "R3 [in pencil], E. Richards [in pen]" written in top corner of title page (either by himself and/or his MCZ assistant Agnes Pilot), the reference to Richards indicating that he was most interested in the first article, Richards's piece about monsters, which discusses Dr. Gould -- regrettably, Dr. Gould did not sign his name nor make any other annotations in this issue. Volume has some wear, including a 2.5 inch crease in top corner of cover; tight, text clean. Paginated [376]-571, illustrated. Interesting provenance. [br 22].
