First edition, first impression – scarce, particularly so in dustwrapper. Very Good: firm and square binding in bright blue cloth; rubbed to the spine tips and corners; gilt a little dulled; toning and faint spotting to the edge of the page block; sporadic browning/foxing to the endpapers, else crisp and clean. The clipped dustwrapper is Very Good minus: three small chips and two short closed tears to the top-edge; rubbing to the spine tips and corners with a little fraying to the head of the spine, sealed to the verso with professional mending tape; general toning and offset surface marking; presented in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
