Portrait colour frontis with captioned guard + 49 others of the subject's works all as called for + 8 small b/w illustrations. First Edition 1915 in Blacks 20s. series of Beautiful Books. The life and works of the Edinburgh born artist who died in Hastings Sussex 1839-93. The copy offered is inscribed in ink to the free front end paper from Norman Pettie April 1943.
