" "Chaim Bloch (1881 â " 1973) was a Hasidic and Kabbalistic Rabbi and publicist who introduced Hasidism and to leaders in wide circles. he was one of the outstanding connoisseurs of Jewish tradition and mysticism in Vienna and, with with Löbel Taubes, was the editor of the â Jewish Yearbook of Austria' in 1932." (Wikipedia, 2016) Bloch was a vocal opponent of Julius Streicher and the anti-Semitic propaganda of the 1930s. He was detained for 3 months in a Nazi camp and ultimately survived the war.
