Gilt title and Jungle Book characters to spine. All edges gilt. Light rubbing to extremities, noticeably to top/bottom of spine and corners. Upper corner of The Jungle Book nudged. Unmarked interiors. Custom matching dark blue slipcase with silk ribbon. Very light rubbing to slipcase. Bookseller's tickets to both volumes (Henry Southeran). The story of Mowgli, the abandoned "man-cub" who is brought up by wolves in the jungles of Central India, is one of the great literary myths.
