I'm Jack: The Police Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper

A detailed look at the police hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper. Illustrated with b&w photographs. With map at front. From rear cover: "On October 30th 1975 twenty-eight year old prostitute Whilomena McCann was found dead on a playing field in a Leeds suburb. She had been stabbed through the heart, strangled, and her skull shattered with repeated blows from a heavy instrument. Whoever had killed her had done so with a brutal thoroughness unique in criminal history. Just over a month later, a second body was found on a patch of waste ground in Lancashire. Again, the victim was a prostitute. Again, the body bore the same pattern of sexual assault and distinctive marks of 'overkill'. Ten more murders have followed - all of them in exactly the same brutal, frenzied vein. I'm Jack is the macabre and terrifyingly true story of a police manhunt for the most elusive of all murderers - the psychopathic, compulsive killer. And he is still at large". A Pan Original. Mass market paperback. Printed in Great Britain. Slight handling wear, deep indentation to the book block (the book has been bent at some point), otherwise a nice clean tight solid softcover copy. 190pp. Uncommon title. SB-94.…
