Winner of the Atlantic Monthly Press award in 1927 ($10,000.00 - quite a sum in those days) A Canadian classic which went on to a number of sequels and a CBC television series. Book Condition: Fair: toning, spine lean, some insect damage, speckle staining to the endpapers, boards are fairly clean, previous owner's name to ffep - neatly done. Dustjacket condition: poor - spots missing, staining, considerable wear - see photos - will nevertheless come in a removable, archival, mylar sleeve which will clean it up a bit - a scarce item.
