Moderate wear; covers a little rubbed and edgeworn with some light creasing; light chipping to the spine extremities and hinges; some hinges tender; text block and page edges toned; some light foxing; a couple of small pen marks. Very good. With the release of the movie "Dr. No" in 1962, the game changed for the publishing of Fleming's novels by Pan Books Ltd. The marketing types were keen to cross-promote by switching the standard paperback wrappers with versions that reflected the filmic versions of the material. The movie tie-in releases had the same text blocks as the standard issue versions but the movie wrappers were switched in and out between printings as demand required. Thus, the version of "Casino Royale" seen here is the 26th printing overall of the Pan paperback, but it is the first movie tie-in version of the book. In the case of "You Only Live Twice" Pan Books had made a decision to completely re-vamp the look of their Bond range with new covers designed by Raymond Hawkey: the initial tie-in version of "You Only Live Twice" came too late to be graced with a filmic wrapper and was issued with a Sean Connery dustwrapper over the Raymond Hawkey standard covers until the next print run took place (the dustwrapper versions are quite sought-after nowadays). Things changed again in the 1970s, but this is a complete collection of all the film versions from the 1960 boom period of Bond cinema. Seller Inventory # 000624
