Item description from seller

2 volumes. Original purple cloth. Titles gilt. Volume 1 has wear to edges of boards , some sunning to spine but titles clear. No splits to hinges. Volume 2 also original binding in purple cloth but titles almost obscure on spine, crease across board to lower edge of front board. Each has 'The West India Committee 40 Norfolk St Lonson WC2' stamped across front endpaper. A few numbers to front pastedowns of each volume make these some sort of ex-library copies. No further indications on spine or elsewhere in the books. All illustrations present to each book (based on Contents lists) except The Crater of the Bromo opposite page 1064. No evidence of removal of this leaf so maybe never included. Map at rear of Volume 2 present and intact if somewhat foxed. A fascinating document. Digital images available on request.
