Blue cloth, lettered in black. 1st ed. Covers show mild surface rubbing and light foxing, giving them a slightly mottled effect, with spine panel somewhat faded, as usual. Tanned text block edges. Firm, square binding. Slightly rubbed corners and extremities. Former owner's address stamp inside front cover, otherwise unmarked. Slight dampstaining evident to half-title and title page margins, a minor cosmetic distraction. [vi],248,[2] pp. Supplied with brand new facsimile dust jacket, now in mylar. A compelling edition documenting the first "talkie" to include synchronized singing and dialogue, starring Al Jolson and May McAvoy, directed by Sam Crosland. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
