1950 1st printing Review copy hardcover in clean green illustrated cloth over boards with tips rubbed through. Black spine title slightly scuffed but more than legible. 'Examination Copy' blurb adhered to inside frt cover with a short bio blurb, grade level recommendation, publishers address and original price point. There is a date, copy 1, and a school name written at upper tip of blank fep. No card pocket, spine call tags or other evidence of being put into circulation. The crisp and clean 60pp text had a few neat closed tears that have now been repaired. Profusely illustrated in 4 color art throughout. Although from the title we'd hoped this was all about Jerry and a pony but that is only one small bit of the story. Jerry and Sue have a busy day in the park riding the miniature train, ponies, and the merry-go-round. Bowser the dog, and Fluff the cat, go along later to join in on the fun for a ride on the water and at the farm.
