Early American edition in the Harper & Brother series half-bound with marbled paper over red faux calf with gilt lettered and ruled spine and cream colored end pages. Eight pages of ads at rear. Whatmore F5 6(c). Haggard expert Al Tella details on the front pasted down that this was published in Feb. or March 1887. New York: Harper & Brothers (1887), 340 pages. A VG copy with typical rubbing and wear to marble paper at edges, sunned spine with fraying at crown. Off white pages that are tanning at edges, cracked rear hinge at middle of ad pages.
