First American edition, very good cloth hardcover shows bit of soil and shelfwear to covers including touch of bumping to corners, light bit of soil at page egdes, noticeable coffee staining at bottom page edges and some other very light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows rubbing, light edgewear and staining visible at bottom edge of jacket reverse. 408 pages. Solid copy of this theological work translated by Hugh Young and with a preface by Gore Vidal.
