Both an homage to the Jews in Poland and a rigorous history from the Middle Ages to the Holocaust by a non-Jew of Polish origin. 4to. 28.5 by 22 cm. 402 pp. The low budget aspects of this book's production -- it looks little better than a xerox copied text -- belies its rigor and readability. The dust jacket has crinkling and a chewed looking corner in the back, and edge wear generally. The book proper's rear cover also shows signs of brief contact with water, but the blemishing we regard as minor, and the book is otherwise a fine copy.
