About the Author

Yasuhiro Fujioka writes regularly for the major Japanese jazz magazines, including "Sewing Journal" and "Jazz Critique", and produced "The Exhibition of Jazz" in Tokyo in 1992. Lewis Porter, a music professor at Rutgers University, Newark, and a leading jazz scholar, educator, and author, provided a great deal of information from his own Coltrane research.
