Why in the world would the eminent Jacob Sloan make such an error? In any case, the book was given as a gift to Joseph L. Lichten, whose biography you can find online. Lichten (1906-1987) was a Polish-American lawyer and diplomat known for his contributions in interfaith relations between Catholics and Jews.
