Add to basketFirst edition, first printing of Irma Rombauer's rare self-published cookbook. Bound in publisher's blue pebble cloth lettered in gilt on the upper board. Very Good with fading to spine, wear at extremities, and light soiling to cloth. Damp staining to top and bottom edges of textblock with associated staining to contents at margins. Hinges tender with front and rear free endpapers lacking. Small closed tear to title page at bottom edge with toning to contents. Initially self-published by the author with a small print run of 3,000 copies, this classic has gone on to become the most published cookbook in America. Adorned with charming illustrations by the author's daughter, Marion. Recipes include: "Oysters in Grapefruit," "Sliced Potato Pie," and "Apricot Mousse" just to name a few.
