First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's blue pebbled cloth lettered in gilt. Good with light edge wear and minor soiling to cloth. Former owner's heavy notations on early leaves with several newsprint clippings and associated offsetting there as well. Contents toned and with sporadic staining, a few signatures over opened. Initially self-published by the author with a small print run of 3,000 copies, this classic has gone on to become the most published cookbook in America. Adorned with charming illustrations by the author's daughter, Marion.
