About the Author: Derek Lambert was born in 1929. He served in the RAF for two and a half years as a medical orderly and then worked as a journalist on local newspapers, the Daily Mirror and the Daily Express. He was the author of twenty-six books, including The Yermakov Transfer, Touch the Lion's Paw (filmed with Burt Reynolds as Rough Cut) and The Judas Code. He spent the later years of his life in Spain, where he died in 2001 at the age of 71.
