From the series "Les Classiques Francais" published under the direction of M.H.Warner Allen. 1st edition in this format. French text edition abridged with a preface by Frank A. Hedgcock. Light wear to pale green cloth boards, with blue stamped decoration, spine sunned. A slight tan to the rough cut page edges, with gilt upper edge. Contents otherwise clear and unmarked throughout, with firm binding. Frontis portrait of Rosseau is pritected by tissue guard which is in very good condition, oroginal cloth pink book mark is still present although ragged to bottom. Seller Inventory # 204435
