Fantastic book on contemporary Japanese architect Jun Aoki, profiling his design of the Aomori Museum of Art in Japan. What distinguishes the book - beyond the pristine, spare lines of Aoki's remarkable architecture - are the photographs of the complex and surrounding landscape by contemporary Japanese photographer Risaku Suzuki - over 120 superbly printed full-page color plates. The images are so skilled and so beautifully sequenced that the book functions as a monograph of art photography as much as an architectural study. Simply an exceptional book. Scarce - OCLC shows only three copies in American holdings. In excellent condition save for teeny, teeny chip along right edge of cover. EXTRA POSTAGE WILL BE REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT.
