Original brown cloth hard cover with titles on spine and embossed decoration on front cover with some wear to spine ends, bumped corners and some mild soiling of boards. xvi, 252 pages. Inside the front cover is a book plate - The gift of M Oppenheim (pioneer historian of English naval administration, 1853-1927) to Bath Public Reference Library in 1919, but none of the usual lending library stamps. Overall this scarce 1857 edition is in good condition.
