First Edition, xii, [13]-400pp, illustrated. Views glued to front and rear pastedowns and flyleaf, rear inner hinge cracked, extremities badly worn. Originally bound in three quarter red leather and marbled boards, but the spine has been replaced with green embossed cloth. A good working copy. See Rader 473, Wagner-Camp 272a:1. The book is dedicated to the author's friend, Kit Carson.
