Deterioration of southern California kelp (Mycrocitotis) beds were noted about 1940; by 1960 more than half the beds had disappeared. Text in 4 parts: 1, Operations in San Diego County; 2, Operations in Orange County; 3, Operations in Los Angeles Country, and, 4, Culturing & "Seeding" Mycrocysotis, w/appendix: "Final Report on 'Marine Waste Disposal & Sea Urchin Ecology'".
