Dark olive boards; vibrant gilt stamped lettering to front board and spine. Foxing to top edge; interior pages are bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. A near fine copy in a very good+ dust jacket. With a Foreword by Thomas L. Connelly, "Preface and Acknowledgements" by editor Allen Dennis, Appendix, and Index. The Civil War diary of Robert Masten Holmes (1844-1864) recounting the trials of his Confederate military service from November 1862 to May 1863.
