Text/NEAR NEW. Illustrated boards/NF w/trace rubs to lower edge. DJ/VG w/faint creasings to back. Once there was a king who was a very fine collector of things, both ordinary and extraordinary. Through the king's hobby one learns of buttons, shells, umbrellas, and so forth. Then he falls ill; bedbound, the king begins to collect sounds, some of which he makes himself by rustling sheets and bedding. A book that expands the mind. Excellent collaboration between story teller and illustrator.
