She and her husband, George, seem "to have escaped the obligations of the First World War by wandering around Britian in a horse-drawn caravan. Sometime during this period, Ruth worked for a few years in a circus . The Woolfs seem have been introduced to Manning-Sanders by their friend Katherin Cox Arnold-Foster, who encouraged the poet to send her material to the Press" (Rhein). Hand printed by Leonard and Virginia Woolf. Uncommon Hogarth title. Woolmer 23; Rhein, pp. 50-1 Gold paper boards, red label lettered in black. Some loss to foot of spine, rubbing around edges, with plastic covering affixed to covers, spotting to rear endpapers, bookplate to endpapers; pages fine.
