A first edition of this novel by Hugh Stowell Scott, published under his pseudonym Henry Seton Merriman. Hugh Stowell Scott (1862 or 1863 - November 19, 1903) was an English novelist. He worked with great care, and his best books held a high place in Victorian fiction. In a blue cloth binding. Externally sound, though with some rubbing to the extremities and some bumping. Spine slightly cocked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, though with some scattered light spotting. Very Good. Seller Inventory # GEN19-C-1
